Left 4 Dead:
The Last Stand

_________________________Characters_________________________

Role Player: Orrion Carn
Character's Name: Alex Cohen
Location: Salem, OR
Bio: Alex is a 20 year old college student who has survived the initial outbreak. Serious with his grades for his first semester, he slowly degraded to just making it by on essays and exams in exchange for horror movies and spending most of his time on the internet just browsing.
When the outbreak began, he barricaded himself inside his dorm-room with his dorm-buddy, Allen. Though this only lasted for the first week, after Allen and Alex went out to get supplies, he was killed by a smoker. Alex freaked out and ran, only to bump into a fellow college student Sara Wall, who had been surviving on her own quite successfully. She handed him a pistol and they stuck together to survive.
Other: Alex wears a ruffled up coat and his personality would be somewhat depressed, being the apocalypse and all.
Posting Color: Gangrene Green
(Sara Wall is a PNPC {Protected-Non-Player-Character} in which case no one may take complete control of her, as in godmod/kill her. She has the same restrictions as a PC {Player-Characer}, but not as much as a major role as a PC)

Role Player: Bugsy
Character's Name: Isaac Preston
Location: Salem, OR
Bio: Isaac preston was a runner in "city" the gleaming metropolis featured in "Mirror's Edge". He complained of how he hated what the city stood for, and then one day, he just moved. He should'vs stayed, however, because rumor has it that that city didn't see much green flu at all.
Other: he looks like: see runners edge thread in 2d chat. far left in picture. Isaac is a very skilled runner, and can out-acrobat a hunter for the most part, his only problem is his complete lack of ability to fight or shoot at all. (he'd be best as a scout. someone to check ahead for special infected. someone who can outrun a hunter and kill a tank is seriously OP)
Posting Color: light blue

Role Player: Priske
Character's Name: Nick
Location: Salem
Bio: Nick is a tall white male, his anger problems can
be stressful with other team mates but are useful in combat. He is
wearing a black dress shirt and blue jeans.
Other: he says the word sh*t alot.
Posting Color: pink

Role Player: Deathead
Character's Name: Stan Reilly
Location: Salem, OR
Bio: Stan is a average height white male, he has been surviving with his two brothers John and Rex, but is now alone since the zombies raided his hideout, he has been finding temporary hideouts, he currently has been saved by Military personnel, but has found himself fending for himself once more after the disease spreaded through the base, situated in the hospital. He usually wears makeshift armour but usually jeans, black shirt and sneakers are underneath. He has a range of weapons from the soldiers in the base, and is quite the aim, when it comes to snipers.
Other: He doesn't trust anyone.
Posting Colour: Red

Role Player: CoffeeGrunt
Character's Name: Kyle Reeves
Location: Salem, OR
Bio: One of the only survivors of the Independence Airport massacre, Kyle's memories of the military's failed last stand have taught him one thing: fighting won't win this war. He consistently believes that facing the Infected in head on combat is suicide, and that what survivors remain should find another way to win this war.
Other: Kyle still wears the tattered jeans and T-shirt torn after he was trapped in the airport's rubble. He keeps to himself, and believes that the group should find a place to hide and wat out the apocalypse they've found themselves in.
Posting Color: Yellow!

Journal entry one..

Date: feb 7th 2010
Sunday

Its could outside, I've been waring the same suit and jeans scenes the day these damn things started killin. My hope is that this journal will keep me company. I have a feeling, judging from these other survivors, that I will be alone again soon. And so I wright, with my AK sitting next to me, the cold metal blood stained from numerous melee battles. it needs to be cleaned. Im afraid of there blood, I'm a afraid of them also. But the blood is what kept something that should have been died alive, and what gave it the power to bite into my flesh. Its what made me put a barrel to there heads and pull....

This barrel and I, however, are becoming better friends everyday. What ever the devil has mustered up in hell, must be embarrassed by the evil of what we humans have made for ourselves.

Nick sets down his journal and looks back at the team behind him.

We need to find some where safer then this. Any ideas?

Sunday - Salem Steel plant

Finally. Safety. The cold dark metal hides all, there's supplies here for weeks, and no infected. I scoured the plant, the workers all clocked off - went home to their sick loved ones. Sometimes I think about them, the people I've known - and the ones I didn't. My heart says there's hope, but in my mind, I know they're dead. The heavy steel doors in this place will repel an army of those crazed mutants. I'm considering using some of the steel beams lying around here to barricade the doors further, but the others want to move on after tonight.

Why? They want to risk their lives at the hands of those abominations in order to reach somewhere "better." What could be better than this? There is no evacuation, it's just abandoned transmitters after the military got wiped out. They're gone, and we will be if we keep going out into open combat with them. The others believe their weapons will save them, but it's inevitable. We will die.

Journal entry two..

Date: feb 7th 2010
Sunday night

I cant stay here, I can feel the dark slithering around me. I can hear the calls of my brother as they ate him, I ran then, and it saved me... I feel as if I must run now, the others are sleeping, they wouldnt even know. But what would I meet? Does it matter? Maybe death is the safest thing to do. Maybe opening those doors...

Nick set his diary down, and creeps slowly, shivering to the cold steel doors.

I cant shoot a living human, this is the only way to make them safe... Death is the safest thing in this world.

He puts his hands on the door...

Journal entry 1

Date: Feb 7th 2010
sunday night

Dear Diary,

Today was rough. nothing much happened up here on top of the capital center, but I have been out of food for Three no, four days now. I cant last much longer on hvac duct water drippings alone. I need to find people, live people, human people. I don't have weapons or fighting talent so I really need company. I only hope people find me before another hunter does. I'm on what appears to be the tallest building in Salem, so it offers relative protection.

I've heard (I don't know where) that there are survivors here, but I'm not sure. It's getting late. though, so I better go looking before the streetlights turn off.

with that, Isaac put his diary in his yellow messenger bag, took one more drink of air duct condensation, ran east and leaped over the edge of the building

Monday morning

I lost it last night, but my sense of reason returns with the light. I left the steel plant, leaving the door open...

I feel horrible, I wish I could control those psychopathic outburst. I have found refuge with another survivor on top of a large building, he calls him self, Isaac. I gave him my hand gun. But if we are attacked, that wont help him..

Journal entry two
Date: feb 8th, 2010
Monday around noon

Dear Diary,

Who would've thought, the very next building I reach, I see someone down below? even during my jump, where I've been taught to pay attention to nothing but the wind, and what I am trying to land on, but even when I was doing that, I could tell immediately that hundreds of feet below, what I saw wasn't a zombie, he was a human. his skin was... almost glowing. we've been together up here since. I am so glad too, he'll offer some protection from the parkour zombies as I call them. I won't have to run from them every time. now if I could only learn how to use this pistol.

On a more serious note, you know you haven't been running in too long-a-time when you're not sure you can make relatively little jumps anymore. the distance from the capital center to this building is only about 30 ft. a relatively small gap compared to what I used to do on a daily basis back in... you know where. I forgot to stretch too. maybe this survivor is a scout, he can lead us to a more permanant survivor colony in a bigger place with food supplies. a place where I can practice my running in safety.

Isaac walked over to Nick.

February 8th
Noon

Alex walked into the city limits of Salem, Oregon with Sarah. Her dull, red hair, even with all its grit and mud in it from their constant running, seemed to glisten. He didn't know why, it just seemed that way. He was grateful to see another non-infected, even if they'd been traveling together for almost a week already. They just began to get over the hill and see the silent city in the distance.
"This must have been beautiful a few weeks ago," Alex sighed, then turned to Sarah and asked "How many infected do you think we'll run into, Sarah?"
She shook her head, the numbers flowing through it.
"At least the whole city, at worst," she grimly said, "We better be in and out with our supplies."
"Then let's get started," Alex finished.

Alex walked along-side Sarah with pistols drawn as they passed one of the tall buildings in Salem. Some of it's windows were blown out, office papers still floating out of it's windows. Alex let his gaze fall to the street, where he saw bodies lay about everywhere. No infected, he thought, We should have seen one by now.
He and Sarah walked up to one of the bodies, it was clearly a deceased infected. But it's tongue was enormous. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be its intestines. Sarah turned and walked away a few feet out of disgust.
Alex stood up from the corpse and whispered, "Let's get going," he said, "We'll find a gun or grocery store, get our supplies and get out of here."

"Oh come on, get your arm up!"

Nick said frustrated, attempting to teach Isaac how to shoot the gun.

"Im not sure how fond you are of living, but you guna need to bulk up if you wont to..."

Monday evening

The air is nice up here, and despite his gun illiteracy, Isaac is a worthy freind. Although I wonder about that Mr. Reeves... I cant forgive my self for leaving that door open, I dont know what I was thinking that night...

Nicks eyes wonder to cloudless sky, but are quickly captured by Isaac. Who was shooting away at imaginary zombies, making a little "boom" noise with ever fake shot.

Under his breath nick mubles:
"Im guna die.."

As the sun set down on another long day, Jason thought about Steven. He couldn't escape the hollow glare that his brother had when he started to turn, or the pool of blood that he left after Jason had to shoot him. The nightmare was interrupted with the ear-piercing screech of an infected. They always seemed to swarm more in the night.
Jason rushed upstairs and grabbed his M16 and peeked outside. Down the street, a small band of infected lumbered aimlessly into a nearby house. As he checked the clip and the overall status of the gun, Jason silently thanked his late father for teaching him how to use it. Jason double checked the barricade on the door, and hid in wait.
The band of infected got closer. Their shrill cries pierced through the walls, and echoed in the empty street. They were in the next house over. Jason's breath grew short. He had to face these whether he was ready or not for it.

Monday night

Anther fear filled night, brings another overwhelming psychopathic take over. Im sitting on the ledge of skyscraper as a wright. A simple lean to the right will end my life, quickly, painlessly. Its outstandingly tempting...

In religion, ones "purpose" in life is to spread the word.

For a lover, ones mate is there lifes purpose.

A scientist reason for living is to benefit the world with his creations.

There is no one to preach to, no one to love, and nothing to be made... I need purpose...

nick then falls to the left, back onto the ruff and crys his way to sleep.

Alone... Always "alone", I sense them, stalking me, waiting within their blood-stained playground, I used to call my home. They took my family from me, they stopped me from living as a normal person. They killed my son Henry, but names are all but just another way of remembering things, I do not want to remember, they created this world, and I have no reason to leave it. I want get rid of all these goddamn rotting pieces of s*** before I go. But not all is bad news, I have made it to the hospital... The army base pretty much, but I shall not relax much, as if this "disease" can spread into every goddamn person in this whole god forsaken country, or probably the world, one little army occupied hospital isn't what I'd call "A Safe Haven".

I found myself fighting for my life once more... All because I trusted someone, they said that they wasn't infected... I let them in... I'm so stupid, never trust anyone... I somehow survived but the others, the soldiers did not make it... I need to make my way to the top of this building they said they would come pick survivors up, but it seems I'm not the only one, a group of survivors, one looked like a old war vet, but it was hard to see as they just ran on through leaving me... I'm so far made it to the roof, but I'm still awaiting pick-up.. I'm guessing the army just don't care about the people who are trying to survive! Looks like I need to go back down and kill some more zombies and find myself a new shelter.

Jason held his breath. Just a few more seconds and they would be here. He knew that if he fired his gun, the rest of the nearby infected would know his position and swarm on it. He put down his M16 and crept into the kitchen, making sure not to make a noise. It was just as his parents left it. Cherry cabinets, black granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances... He took a split second to re-admire the design of it, then ran to the knife drawer. He took out 2 of the biggest knives that he could find, and leaned against the stainless steel fridge. He could hear them circling the house, looking for a way in. With all the barricades that he put up on the main floor, he didn't expect to have to fend them off, but the infected didn't leave. The minutes dragged on like hours.

THUD!

He shuddered as one of the infected slammed his mangled fist into a nearby window. They were starting to break through. Jason froze. He knew if he moved, they would find him, and tear him limb for limb. As he sat there against the fridge, he thought about both brothers, his parents, and everyone else he knew who was most likely dead now. He was left alone, like usual, in this time when all he needed was someone else. They had left him to suffer out the apocalypse. Jason quickly surveyed his situation. The infected were starting to break down the barricades placed on the front door. The windows on the first floor were all broken, and the infected were starting to climb in. He had 2 minutes at most. He knew with the amount of infected that had surrounded the house, that he wasn't going to make it out of this alive. He prayed a quick, silent prayer, and prepared himself for a final charge. He raised his knives, and got up, ready to run. There was an infected coming in through the window that he set his sights on. Jason charged towards it, plunging both knives right above the sternum of the zombie, hoping that it would kill it. As soon as the blades found flesh, a bright light pierced through the barricades and broken windows, paralyzing Jason, and stunning the nearby zombies. The zombies turned towards the light, and ran at it, only to be met with the rhythmic sounds of automatic gunfire and the shells hitting against the ground. Jason took this quick distraction to run back into the other room to grab the M16 and fight back. He grabbed the M16, made sure that it's still in working order, checking the slide, the clip and the overall status of the gun. He heard a female voice on a radio, "We've got live one here". He threw the clip back in the M16 and spun around, ready to fight off the remaining zombies, only to find a pistol barrel inches from his face, aimed between his eyes.

((Let's steer away from the diary stuff, guys, keep it to what Gunn3r and I are doing. Of course, it's your choice, it's just easier to RP with.))

February 9th
Morning

So far so good, Alex thought to himself, We've survived the night without a bullet shot.

Alex and Sarah had been hold-up in the small gun store the whole night. Just quietly whispering to each other as the infected walked aimlessly by on the streets. Now it was time to try and find some food and water, then get out of here.
"Sarah," Alex whispered, "Let's go, the sun's up. It's the best time to get the supplies we need without much resistance."
"Okay." She moaned tirelessly.
He didn't blame her, she'd been up all night and day for a full week straight with him.

They stepped outside to find the early morning sun blaring down on them. Alex squinted as he took it in. The infected had retreated into the buildings and shadows for now. That could change at any moment of course. One false move or step and the whole neighborhood would be on top of them in seconds. He looked down the street and saw a Safeway a little further down. Where he saw a man with a gun walking towards it. He didn't know if he was infected or not. Instead of shooting him, Alex picked up a rock from the ground and threw it at him and waited.

The morning sun seemed to arrive sooner with each day. Two weeks back, he wouldn't have taken note of such small and, to him, rather unimportant details. Every positive detail mattered now, though, especially to a grumpy night owl like Rick, forced to early retirement from his 'job' because of the damn Green flu. He had never been a fan of mornings, until now that is. He found himself greeting his now greatest and so far only friend, the sun, with honest enthusiasm.

To go out searching for other survivors during nighttime would be suicide, especially since the power was still on and running in The Dalles, at least at the airport. If he'd gone searching there at night, he'd surely not live for more than a few minutes. All the lights would shine right down on him as he'd run around like a scared puppy, looking for a possible alive pilot.

He was never a fan of public humiliation, and even though he was pretty certain the infected didn't even know what the expression meant anymore, he waited until daybreak to search the hangars.

He'd been carrying his trusty sidearm all along, he certainly didn't expect it to be this useful. He was running low on ammunition, and he'd promised not to use his emergency stash until absolutely neccesary.
Admiring the fine metal barrel of his loyal revolver and dreaming back to the days where it scared live people instead of shooting living dead ones, he suddenly woke from his daydream to hear the not-so-distant sound of an old plane engine revving up. He holstered his gun and took off to the hangar from where the sound came.
"I might finally get out of this hell-hole." he thought to himself, as he ran towards what he hoped would be the long-awaited escape vehicle he'd dreamed of since this whole thing started...

I have found company with two other survivors, seems as though this city is full of them. I told them of Isaac and we are on our way back to the large building hideout to get him and bring him to this newly found safe house.

You may be wondering why when I said "
I will wright again when I get there, if I get there..."
there was no reply until now, well...

For four and a half hours last night I stood motionless in the corner of a store while at least a hundred zombies walked around aimlessly. No sound, no movement. I thought for sure that was it, but by morning they were all gone.

Anyway, back to my company. I

Nick was quickly interrupted by the sound that he had hoped to never hear. A sound that is rarely talked about, because few survive. A witch!

He dropped his notebook, they were in the middle of the street and zombies were waking up all over with the witch running full sprint in front of them!

Orrion, when you get online we can start our battle, I dont wont to fight a witch while my two comrades are offline ;) just message with your 1st actions when you get on.

Isaac had decided that it was time for a run about town. being able to gracefully leap between rooftops and outroppings, pluck his way along ledges, and run considerable distances along vertical walls made getting to the getting to the supply store (and away from zombies) a relative breeze. Isaac was within viewing distance of the supply store when he thought he heard crying sound, and a myriad of footstep noises in the direction of the supply location. Had nick found more survivors? was someone hurt? Isaac only could hope that it was the former as opposed to the latter. he quickly picked up his journal and began to scrawl

Journal entry 3
 2/10/10

Dear Diary,

hear sounds. went to find nick. possibly more survivors. only can hope. hope nick is ok.

==============

Isaac took a few steps back, ran to gain momentum, and bounded over the parapet to the alley 20 feet below. he lost no momentum in the landing, only picking up speed. he ran through the last part of the thin alley and the streets. the supply area was in view, but then so were a few other things...

(just wanted to get Isaac a closer view of the fight.)

Alex, Nick and Sarah stood motionlessly, stunned at the sheer sight of the infected charging at them. They know we're here now... Alex thought to himself as he looked at the horde, then brought his pistol up and aimed it at the swarm, Might as well.
He was the first to fire, followed by Nick and Sarah. With every shot, it didn't seem to have weakened the mob at all. It was useless. The only thing they could do now was run back to the gun store and re-equip their weapons and make a stand. Alex tapped the shoulders of both Sarah and Nick to follow him. They didn't skip a beat and were right behind him.

Alex ran for the door and held it open as the others got inside. He then slammed it shut and yelled, "Get some weapons! Sarah!" he asked, "Toss over that shotgun, third from the right!"
He knew it was already loaded, he took the time the previous night to load every weapon, and he knew he fill that one completely. Sarah grabbed a hunting rifle and threw over the shotgun to Alex. He pressed his back against the door and pumped the shotgun. It's live, He thought. Then he was one the ground, grunting as he fell. He looked up and saw a hole in the wood door. One infected with extremely long nails had punched through and began to swing it around trying to find a way to open it. Then it exploded in blood and gore as bullets hit it. He didn't know who shot it, but he was thankful.

There was a considerably large group of zombies running full velocity a mere 30 feet to the right of isaac. Isaac was outrunning them, which was good, but he wasn't sure if the armed men would let him in the gun store, he only hoped they would. Isaac picked up his speed to a dead sprint to get some distance between him, the mutants behind him, and the ones at the front entry. he went around back to look for another entry. no luck on his side. without much time to lose, Isaac planted a foot on the gunstore wall and pushed himsellf over the side to the gravel-roof. he kicked open an air duct and then dropped into the store.

Two moss-berg 500's in hand, nick ran to Alex's ad and helped him up. He then blasted away at the boarded door, it was falling apart quickly. Sarah yelled "That ant holdin!"
Nick ran back behind the big metal shelf in the middle, it was bolted down.

"When they break through, were guna have to use there bodys as a bunker. so dont miss!"

The door burst open and they poored through, thank god the door way was small enough that they had to stumble over one another. The sound of gun fire was overwhelming, blood was everywere.

*click*....
*click* *click*...

"sh*t! IM OUT!!!"  nick yelled as he through his shotguns down. Alex quickly pulled an M4 off the shelf and tossed it to him. But before he could shoot, the boarded window on there right blow open, and infected started jumping through.

Nick unloaded blindly, as bodys fell all over him. "
What the hell do we do now!"

"Your turn :)"

(Just to let you guys know, you guys don't need to italic your actions or use the color of the person to indicate their action/speech. It makes it look cleaner too.)
(Also, please refrain from using curse words okay? I don't want this to end up like the first one where nearly everyone was blurting out F*** everywhere.)

Before Alex could reply, he heard something fall behind him. He swung around to see a man in a black tee-shirt and white jeans fling his arms up. Alex knew he wasn't infected once he did that. Instead he tossed the man a pistol and turned back to the swarm.
"What am I surpose to do with this?" The man yelled in replied.
"What do you think!?" Alex replied furiously, "Shoot them!"
The man shook his head nervously and said, "I don't know how to shoot."
Alex shook his head, he'd need to take care of that problem later.
He turned back to Nick and said, "Keep them back!"

"Why didn't I think of that!?" Nick replied as he fired again into the crowd. His plan was working, the bodies were piling up and making a barricade to hold them back until they could make a plan for escape.

Isaac examined his gun closely then looked over to nick, whom he recognized immediately.

"I squeeze this thing to fire, right?" he asked, motioning to the trigger.

(sorry about the two statements that were obviously directed towards me, my bad bro :P. I will refrain on the cussing but considering the setting, there would be some language.)
(Also, I loved
"Why didn't I think of that!?" its perfectly portrays nicks personality)

"Isaac, what on earth are you doing here?!"
Nick said as he reloaded his weapon.
Isaac just looked at him with massive eyes as he pulled the trigger of the pistol and nearly shot Sarah in the head.
"EVERYONE BACK UP!" yelled nick, as he pulled the lighter out of his back pocket.
When everyone had done so he tossed the lighter in the the pile of infected...
The light was blinding...

"Okay that should hold them for a bit, now how do we get our of here?"

Jason quivered. The barrel in his face was not the way he expected to die. Especially with the zombies surrounding the house no less than 5 minutes ago. The tip glistened in the bright spot light, still shining on the house. The face on the other side of the gun was covered in shadow, yet he was sure that it belonged to the female voice that he heard earlier.
"He doesn't look infected", she said. He presumed he was talking into the radio again.
"Alright. Bring him out here and arm him up. We'll bring him back out to the tower after we search the next couple streets".
Bewildered, Jason watched as the gun barrel was lowered and the face stepped into the light. It was of a female, and she looked to be in about her early twenties.
"I'm Miranda. A band of survivors have holed themselves in the KOIN tower downtown. We've got a working van, and we're transporting people down there."
"Uhh... Sounds... good... Why the gun?"
"We had to make sure you weren't infected."
"Well, I guess that makes sense... Name's Jason, by the way."
"Alright. Well, Jason, you have a gun?"
"Yeah. I've got this old M16. Why?"
"Well, we're kind of strapped for weapons, and we don't really have any to spare."
The radio crackled to life and interrupted their conversation. The automatic weapon fire hadn't stopped.
"Miranda, what the hell are you doing in there? Get the survivor and get the hell out here!"
"On my way."
Jason followed Miranda out to the van. He finally saw her completely in the light. A petite figure in trendy clothes. He could tell that they hadn't been changed in a while, as the elbows were starting to tear, and the dirt and blood stains were everywhere. It looked like it was a gray cardigan and tight black jeans, but with the wear and tear of fighting zombies, it had become more of a plethora of stains and tears. He climbed in the large van, which had been outfitted with large spotlights on the top. He strapped himself in the van, and got ready to head down town. The group seemed pretty diverse. There was Miranda, who rode in the passenger's seat, a heavy-set bald guy wearing a button-up shirt in the driver's seat, and a young guy who sat next to him. Jason recognized him from church. Luke, or something like that. They started to pull away. Driving down I-5 never seemed so lonely. Fires erupted out of overturned cars on the highway, and it looked as though everyone was dead, or was at one point.

THUMP THUMP THUMP!

"What was that?!?"
"Oh my... We got one of the..."
The van was airborne and the last thing Jason remembered before blacking out was the panicked face of Miranda as the van careened off the embankment and into a tree.

(It's okay with the cussing, priske, just cut down on it, no S**t S**t S**T! stuff. Keep it reasonably spaced out. RPGs are new here, so I expected as much as a little confusion in the beginning. It's always a learning experience , infact, I used to post just like you, that just shows how far you can come )
(No problem on the Nick thing , it's just something I would say )

Alex peered around the room, trying to remember the exits through his adrenaline filled mind. ...There are no exits. he concluded in his mind. That's why he and Sarah spent the night here, they only needed to watch one door.
Alex shook his head and told them that there were no other exits. That that entrance was the only way in or out.
Nick seemed to get really tensed up, he didn't like the idea of being trapped in hear.
Isaac stood forward and said, "What about the air-ducts? I made it through. The roof would be safer than the ground anyways."

It was a sound idea, they would just need to stack a few objects to get to the ducts.
Soon, after stacking objects against a gunsafe, Isaac, Sarah, Nick then Alex climbed their way up to the roof.

Shadows fade in and out in my mind. A gurgling - familiar yet alien. It becomes louder, more frequent, it fills my head and wakens me. I rise up from my position on the ceiling rafters. good thing I hadn't rolled off I suppose, but there was little high ground in here. At least it was -

I stared around - they were gone. I heard no tell that anyone was still with me. Climbing carefully across the steel beam I'd had my fitful sleep on, I saw it! Idiots! Morons of the highest order! The steel, indomitable doors would keep us safe, and they left them open!! And they were swarming. Every stinking, warped abomination my people had become - there was no refuge here.

I crawled along the beam, they were unaware of my position - they mustn't be able to smell me. Slowly carefully. I place a hand on a space on the girder, and watch as it crumbled into rust, nearly throwing me off the beam. Deep breath. Stay calm. Move. I got to the end, still nothing. Pulling out my pistol, I'd have to be quick. Thwack! I shattered the glass, a howl erupted all around. They clambered up steel beams, across machinery. It was only a matter of time before they caught me. Dropping down, I landed on a lower roof, then another. Bouncing of a truck's roof, I landed on the floor running. I can't exactly claim I was Usain Bolt, but I felt pretty damn close to it.

The horde howled behind me. Gnashing, barking, howling. Always howling. They were closing on me. I was outta time. I saw a building looming through the smog. I jumped, stepping on a car that had wrapped itself around a tree, and landed on the other side of a fence. Pulling myself up, panting. My leg was killing me now. I dragged myself into the building. Limping painfully, each step causing a jolt of pain as I dragged myself to the kitchen of this place. The howls were closing, but I found what I wanted. The meat locker would be perfect, I pulled myself in as they burst into the kitchen. THE door pulled to, the latch clicked, and I slumped to the floor, all my strength spent.

They claimed up onto the ruff, but the site we saw was not that of hope or joy.. Rather, a degrading field of infected as fare as the eye could see...

Nicks stare was quickly broken by the sound of Isaac's screams.
"HELP ME, HES GOT MY LEG!!"
Some how an infected had got a hold of his leg and was pulling him down, to make matters worse, said infected was on fire.
Alex quickly pistol whipped the hell out of the zombies head, untill it feel.
After pulling Isaac up and blocking off the opening the some steel crates on the ruff, the crew started firing blindly over the edge of the ruff, into the mob. The beasts were throwing them selves at the wall trying to climb it.
"AH man that kills!!!" declared Isaac as Sarah pulled up the pant leg to see the wound.
Nick then stated "Alright we cant fight all of them, what do we do now"

The sound of the witches crying was still ever present...

( Sorry Isaac :()

*Thud*...

*Thud*...

Something else was out there.

I crept up to the door, looking to find the source of the banging. The howlings had ceased long before I woke up, the pain in my leg still reminded me that I needed to hole up here as long as possible.

Looking through the viewport, I saw that was impossible.

On the other side was a beast, a huge mass of muscle. It was beating dents into the door with it's bare fists. I was unsure whether it would last. The beast  saw me, and let out a huge, bellowing roar.

I threw myself against the wall. Damn! Nowhere was really safe now if things like that were roaming free! I saw a vent in a corner. If I was lucky enough to fit in that damn thing, it might be a good escape. I battered the slats with the pistol, then ripped it out of the indent. Lying down, I dragged myself into the shaft. At least this way my leg wasn't hurting me too much, even though it stank of damp and decay in there. The beast kept beating on the door. Dumbass.

I found an exit, and shoved it open. A pickup sat in the parking lot near me, I dragged myself towards it and found the unfortunate ex owner writhing in his seat. It turned and looked at me with it's pale, dead eyes, then howled before I put it down with a bullet. I had little time, I unlatched the seatbelt, and threw the corpse onto the floor. jumping into the seat, I hit the ignition and punched it into the swarming crowd heading straight for me.

The only place left was the big city. If the other morons were still alive, I guess it would be best to have them with me.

can I still parkour my way around or am I completely helpless?

also, isn't that technically god-moding because it wasn't pre-agree'd upon?

if isaac is affected its god moding in my book, if not then it's not.

"I'll be alright"  Isaac quickly replied. he slowly got up. the building was not tall, 1 story high. the group had to stay low on the roof. most zombies could not get up to the roof anyway. Isaac began to stretch. "what are we doing now, guys?"

Rick leaned against the large frame of the hangar, panting from running to what he hoped was his rescue from the mess that the green flu had caused. The pilot turned to look at Rick and seemed startled at the sight of him.
"Whoa, hey." the young pilot exclaimed, seemingly worried judging by the tone of his voice. "Who-wha-where are you headed, sir?"
Rick couldn't help but feel like there was something wrong with the guy, but decided to ignore his gut feeling, putting straight focus on the fact that he could be getting out of here anytime now.
"Good morning, youngster! I see that there's room for another clean, live human like myself. I'm sure you wouldn't mind having some company to wherever the heck you're headed, am I right?"
The young man stood still, numb for a minute. He seemed to hesitate over whether he wanted to bring Rick with him.
"Surely you wouldn't want to leave a rare specimen like myself to rot here? A unique gentleman, seemingly immune too."
The young pilot started raising his arm into the air, as if he was about to say something, but he hesitated, lowering it down again. Finally, he regained his ability to speak again.
"I-I'm terribly sorry, sir, I know it must be hard to understand, but... I can't possibly bring you along, s-sir."
Rick's smile of comfort turned cold as he realised that he might not be getting out after all. He started to slowly reach for his revolver.
"You know, I'm the kind of guy who doesn't take no for an answer, 'specially not when it's about whether or not you can let me hop in the other seat and flee from all these mindless killing machines. So..." Rick swiftly points his gun in the direction of the startled pilot. "Give me one damn good reason as to why I shouldn't be allowed to come along."
The young man slowly stepped towards Rick, out from the darkness of the hangar into the morning sunlight. As the light rays scattered across the surface of the young man's face, Rick realised that the man might not be so fit for operating the plane after all. His eyes were completely white.
"You're not immune." Rick said quietly, almost whispering as if it were a terrible secret.
"I-I... I'm sorry. I thought everything was okay, but then... Agh!" the man falls down on his knees, writhing in pain.
"Son, are you allright?" Rick asked, even though he knew for sure that things were about to get complicated.
The man turned his head up quickly. He growled loudly at Rick, his glossy white eyes almost shining from the sunlight. The veins on his face started to creep and crawl, turning to a deep blue tint. Rick realised there was no time to make a mistake, and so he pointed the gun at the pilot's head, and fires.
The gun fire echoed throughout the airport, and just as it stopped, the echoing sound of screeching infected replaced it. Rick holstered his firearm and ran across the airport, passing infected coming out of the airport building. His daring escape came to a halt as he reached the river. He looked back, saw the silhouettes of probably some twenty-thirty infected running towards him, and realised the only way to go was across, so he dove into the river...

As the moon started to fade in the glowing sky, I could help to think of what it was like... Before the zombie crisis, I remembered when I woke up in the mornings to the fresh smell of Bacon and Coffee, but all I smell now is the rotten smell of Flesh and Blood.  I hear moans and crys from the witch downstairs of which I managed to trap in a closet. I hear it crying, as if it was still wanting help... What if they are still alive... What if still had control of their heads but not their bodies... You know what I don't want to think about it, I got to get ready for my daily scavenge. Perhaps I could find some Petrol for that Dodge in the street... All I know I got to get the hell out of town, you never know the city maybe the only affected area.. Wait how did it get out! Wiiiiiitch! I need to find my gun and quick... Ah here we are my trusty sawn-off... DIE! DIE! DIE!

Dammit! I don't know what blue-collar, redneck idiot owned this damn truck, but he coulda filled it with gas before he decided the get mauled in his seat!

I crawled out of the ditch, the lack of gas had suddenly killed the engine, sending me unexpectedly off the road. I wasn't far from the city outskirts, and a maze of cars stretched before me. My head hurt as I remember cartwheeling off of the endless metallic legions. Where were the infected?

I scrabbled out of the ditch, and slumped on the road. My Glock! Dammit again! Nothing was going right. Then again, I realised, glancing at the line of trucks marching back to ol' Salem town, that at least one was bound to have some gun nut's stash in it. I got up, my leg still burning with pain. Leaning against the bonnet of a car, A saw the mutilated occupant, ironically clutching a healthpack. Some antiseptic, bandaging and painkilling later, and I felt all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows...morphine is a beautiful thing......

"Snap out of it!" I thought. I stumbled again the lines of cars, the occasional ex-occupant would writhe against their newly found prison at the hands of road safety. What a way to go, trapped as they circled and beat the glass...such a-

"Again! Snap out of it!" I kept going, until I saw it. Everything I'd hoped for. God knows how the guy got one of these, but I don't even think God would care. I plucked it from his corpse, the reassuring cool metal filling me with confidence. I grabbed the two ammo packs resting in peace with him, and checked the ammo for my new beloved..

"Aargghhh!! An LMG with no ammo!"

Well at least I have a club now.
