Diffuses are the standard colour texture, if I didn't have them, it'd be a grey blob... :P Specular textures are also unnecessary, I found out 90% of the standard UT3 materials use the diffuse to derive a specular, (after some mathematical tweaks). The upshot? Much less memory in the final package, and a fair bit less memory consumption at runtime, since it's not referencing so many textures... Normal maps are an issue. High quality normal map generators are a rare commodity sadly, and free ones are practically extinct. @Deathead Thanks. This project's gonna be sort of amalgamated if things go well into another bigger, sweeter (and hopefully) funner project, for me and the player. More info when I finish my current projects though.
